Leading with Purpose Campaign
A Message from Campaign Co-chairs Tony and Virginia Chan ’77
Today we stand with you — the thousands of alumni, donors and friends — who are answering the call to transform the way we serve our students and set them on the path to lead purposeful lives.
You have fueled student access and success by establishing scholarships for our most deserving students. You have enhanced key academic programs and recruited scholars and scientists who inspire and invigorate curious minds. Tigers are excelling in the classroom and competing in some of the finest athletic facilities in the West Coast Conference. With your support, our surrounding communities are healthier, stronger, safer and more educated. And as we approach our $300 million goal, you continue to uphold your steadfast commitment to our students.
From our family to the Pacific family, thank you.
Academic programs of excellence and relevance
Pacific proactively adapts along with our landscape. Creating the very best academic programs for the needs of future citizen-leaders requires a combination of foresight, agility and a strong sense of civic purpose. Your support will enhance key academic programs and boost Pacific students’ preparedness to lead in health care, law and other fast-changing fields.
See the impact you have made so far through your support of Leading with Purpose!
Student access and success
To say Pacific is student-centered is a vast understatement: our students are the essence of everything we do. This campaign enables students of all backgrounds to get the education — and educators — they need to thrive academically, professionally and personally.
Listen to Joy Chiang share how the scholarship she received thanks to supporters like you changed her life and helped her find her purpose as a music therapist.
A Pacific education is community-minded. Our students, faculty and staff prove every day that social and economic challenges can be answered when people are willing to listen to one another and work together. The Pacific ethos of service reverberates throughout our three-city campus and Northern California, and extends around the world.
See how Pacific’s Criminal Justice curriculum encourages students to be community-minded and bring about lasting change.
Achievement in athletics and academics go hand in hand here. This campaign will provide our scholar-athletes with the resources they need to be successful in the classroom and in competition, exemplifying our university’s values of performance, integrity and teamwork.
The Alex G. Spanos Center has served as the home of Tiger basketball, volleyball, and various other sporting events, concerts and community functions for more than 30 years. With the help of Tiger fans like you, University of the Pacific plans to update and improve the facility significantly.
